Styling Station Cabinets
The station is where your stylist spends the whole day, so it gets built to her, not to a catalog. Mirror, tool storage, and outlets in one piece of millwork. We build heat-safe holsters for irons and blow dryers, because a hot iron laid on a laminate top will scar it inside a month. Outlets and USB get housed where a cord won't cross the client's shoulder, and we coordinate the wiring with your electrician.
Shampoo Station Cabinets
The wettest millwork in the building. We build around the bowl you already own, whether it's Takara Belmont, Belvedere, or something older, and we work out trap clearance and the plumbing chase before fabrication. Moisture-resistant substrate throughout, sealed edges, and towel storage within arm's reach of the bowl so nobody's walking a wet client across the floor.
Color Bar Cabinets
Every permanent color you mix is a stain waiting to happen, and developer is hydrogen peroxide. This is not a place for a light laminate top. We build the color bar in non-porous quartz or solid surface in a darker tone, with organized storage for tubes, developer, bowls, and brushes, and a bowl for rinsing that doesn't share the client sink. Get this room's surface wrong and it looks abused by year two.
Product Display Cabinets
Retail is margin, and product sells when it's lit and at eye level. We build display shelving with LED lighting and adjustable shelves, so a new line doesn't mean rebuilding the wall. Glass fronts where you want the product protected and visible, open shelves where you want it picked up. Positioned along the path to the front desk, because that's where it actually sells.
Reception Desk Cabinets
The first millwork a client sees, and it sets the price point in their head before you say a number. Acetone is the problem nobody plans for. It will dull a solid surface top, attack a laminate seam, and strip a standard finish, so we build nail stations with surfaces chosen specifically to live with it and we'll tell you honestly which ones won't. Polish organization on shallow tiered drawers so you can read the bottles, tool drawers with dividers, and ventilation coordinated into the station.
Pedicure Station Cabinets
Built around your chair and your plumbing, whether you're running jetted or pipeless. Access panels where a plumber can actually get to a trap without cutting up finished millwork, which is the mistake we get called to fix most often. Towel and sanitation storage at the tech's reach, and moisture-resistant construction everywhere below the splash line.
Esthetician Room Cabinets
A facial room should feel like a retreat and function like a treatment room. Product organization at the tech's working position, storage sized to your steamer, magnifying lamp, and machines, and closed cabinetry so the clinical equipment disappears when it isn't in use. Quiet hardware matters here more than anywhere else in the building.
Massage Therapy Cabinets
Linen storage that holds a day's worth of sheets without a visible stack, oil and lotion organization with a wipeable interior, because oil gets on everything eventually, and hidden storage for supplies. Salon Countertop Options
Pick the top by what lands on it. Color stains, developer bleaches, and acetone dissolves, and no single surface wins against all three.
Quartz
Engineered stone and our usual answer for a color bar or reception. Non-porous, hard, and it doesn't stain from permanent color. One caution we'll give you straight: strong solvents like acetone can damage the resin binder, so quartz belongs at the color bar and not at the nail station.
Solid surface
Corian and Wilsonart. Non-porous, renewable with an abrasive pad, and repairable in place, which matters in a room that takes daily abuse. Takes an integrated coved bowl at a shampoo or wash station with no joint at the sink. Acetone will dull it, so it's the wrong pick for nails.
High-pressure laminate
Wilsonart and Formica HPL. The budget-honest choice for back-of-house, break rooms, and retail shelving. Fine where nothing aggressive lands on it. We don't recommend it at a color bar or a nail station, and we'd rather say so now than replace it in two years.
Butcher block
Hard maple for retail display and reception, where you want warmth instead of a clinical surface. It's a display material here, not a work surface. Keep it away from color and solvents, oil it once a year, and it makes the retail wall feel like a boutique.
Stone countertops
Natural granite and marble for a feature reception or a luxury spa vanity. Granite handles solvents better than engineered stone does. Marble is softer and etches from anything acidic, so it earns its place on looks, in a spot that isn't taking a beating.
Salon Cabinet Materials
Ask any salon casework supplier two questions: what the box is made of, and how thick the edge banding is. The answers tell you how long it lasts.
Cabinet-grade plywood
Furniture-grade ply boxes, not particleboard. A salon is a humid building with water in three or four rooms, and a particleboard box swells once and stays swollen. This is where cheap salon casework fails first.
High-pressure laminate
Wilsonart and Formica HPL on faces and vertical surfaces. Tough, cleanable, and available in hundreds of finishes, so matching your brand colors is straightforward.
Thermally fused laminate
TFL over an MR core. The decorative layer is fused to the panel, so it won't lift at an edge the way an applied laminate does after a few years of being wiped down.
Moisture-resistant MDF
MR-core MDF for painted doors and panels. Stable, takes a finish flat, and holds up where solid wood would move with the humidity.
Commercial-grade hardware
Blum and Grass hinges and slides, commercial cam locks. Salon drawers open more times a day than kitchen drawers do in a week.
Durable edge banding
3mm PVC edge banding on commercial work, not the thin iron-on strip that peels at a wet corner. The edge is the first thing that fails in a salon, and it's where we don't cut cost.
